Better Than Expected

Today Another ChanceWell, after all of my worry about how weigh in was going to go this week, I was pleasantly surprised this morning.  A week of being off track had me anxiously anticipating the number on the scale so it was nice to hear that I was actually down 1 lb.  Of course, this will not be my license to keep splurging and missing out on exercise, but it was nice to see that the week did not throw me into a complete tailspin.

Weight 1.31.14

Today’s meeting was special for a few reasons.  I am honored to be featured in this week’s Weekly magazine that it is given out at Weight Watchers meetings all across the country.  This week’s topic is about small victories and my former leader, Jacynta was kind enough to recommend me for the article and I was able to tell my story of how I eased into exercise when I started my journey, literally one step at a time.  Since the article appeared in this week’s issue, my current leader asked me if I could speak at the meeting which is always an honor and it worked out that Michael was able to attend the meeting with me which was a special treat as well.

Due to a change in my schedule, I attended the 8:30am meeting instead of the 12:30pm meeting.  Although I missed my regular peeps, it was nice to meet new people and see some familiar faces I have met in the past.  I was also able to meet several of my blog followers in person which was an extra special treat for me.  I am so appreciative of each and every one of you and I love being able to put faces with names.  It’s always an honor to have the opportunity to speak to a group and I am always prayerful that I will say something that motivates at least one person.  Several sweet people spoke to me after the meeting and I walked away feeling like maybe I had done some good, and that is my goal, to help motivate as many people as I can to achieve lasting, positive change in their life.

I feel like I am embarking on a normal week and that is a nice feeling for me.  I need lots of structure and while it’s nice to have special occasions, it’s also nice for me to get back to my routine that I am so comfortable with.

I am thrilled with my loss for the week but I certainly do not take it for granted.  I am extremely thankful but now it’s time to move full steam ahead toward getting rid of this last 50 something pounds so I can achieve my lifetime goal with Weight Watchers and I can focus on maintaining a healthy weight and enjoying every single second of my new life!  I hope each of you will do something this weekend that moves you closer to your goal!!!

Keep Moving Forward
