Weigh Late

Happy Fall Y'allI cannot believe that I am almost an entire week late in reporting my weigh-in to you.  Time flies when you are busy and for the last six days, I have planned to get my post done and then life has happened and I haven’t gotten it done.  I’m here now though!

You know what’s really funny?  Last week was actually very good so you would think that I would have made the time to report to you…but sometimes things are just a little too hectic.

I am happy to tell you that I was down 2 lbs. last week!  Of course, I don’t really know why as I didn’t do anything different from the week before when I was up 2.2 lbs.  As I have learned though, there is often no rhyme or reason to why things happen on this journey.  Oftentimes, you just have to go with the flow.  As you all know, that’s what I’ve been doing for quite some time.  As I told a new friend in my meeting last week, if you dwell on the whys too much, you will drive yourself crazy and you will most certainly end up giving up.  She was frustrated after not seeing the result she expected on the scale even though she had done everything exactly right throughout the week.  Boy do I ever feel her pain!  The key is to not let frustration get the best of you.  I keep plugging along, doing what I know is right and I am confident that I will reach my final goal, in time.

As I said before, I am trying to focus more on enjoying the journey.  I have so many wonderful things in my life to enjoy and be happy about right now and those last 50ish pounds I need to lose are not going to prevent me from doing that.  This is my absolute favorite time of year (from now til Christmas) and last Thursday night I welcomed Fall in my favorite way by attending the North Georgia State Fair and we have a beautiful Fall weekend on tap this weekend here in Georgia.

I encourage you all to get out and enjoy this beautiful time of year and make the most of your journey, regardless of where you’re at in the process.

  1. Thank you, Kassie. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day. I also have been trying to focus on enjoying the ride, so we will see what the scale says. Either way, I made myself more healthy this week.
